I mean it when I say we would be nothing without our team of dedicated volunteers and foster carers who help when they can in between their own work and family commitments. Would you be surprised to hear that we continually have foster carers who become ‘foster fails’ (falling in love and keeping their foster dog).
This page is dedicated to our incredible team now and in the future who give up their homes and time to help us with our mission to save these beautiful dogs. To keep us all in check are our administrative help, Melissa Sewell and our adoptions co-ordinator Bianca Williams. We also have incredible support from outside sources and you can read more about them on “our dogs love” page.
I live in Cranbourne South on 10 acres with our own 4 dogs. Merlin the white Swiss Shepherd, Mya the White Shepherd, Kal the working lines Shepherd and Lilly the lab x mix.
Adopting Lilly in 2010 was an eye opener to me and we wanted to find out more about the hidden world of back yard breeding, puppy farms and the organisations who rescue these animals. Initially I become involved by providing transport and organising German Shepherd rescues across Australia. Once I had amassed a significant amount of understanding and knowledge about the rescue world, I decided to apply for an ABN number in March 2013. In July of 2013 we received our Incorporation status and I couldn’t be more prouder or excited for the future of SSRAI.
