Koda is looking for a special home where his people understand German Shepherds and appreciate all the wonderful things that come with having a smart, sensitive and engaging Shepherd by your side.

Beach adventures? Koda's in.
Bush walks? Absolutely.

A long walk? His favourite!
A puppaccino afterwards? Even better! 😂

Koda loves being included in his people's adventures and is happiest when he's part of the action. He's not looking for a home where he'll simply be left to entertain himself — he wants to be your companion, your walking buddy and your loyal sidekick.

SMART BOY ALERT!

Koda is an intelligent and eager learner who genuinely enjoys training. He's completed puppy school and obedience training and knows a wonderful range of commands and tricks.

He responds well to positive reinforcement and enjoys having clear expectations and structure. Give this boy something to learn and a reason to use his brain, and he'll be a very happy Shepherd!

Koda is also well known and loved by his veterinary team and groomer. He enjoys meeting people and, once he understands what's expected of him, settles nicely. He loves affection, a good scratch and simply being around his favourite humans.

KODA'S IDEAL HOME

We're looking for:

- An adult-only home
- An experienced dog owner, preferably with German Shepherd experience
- An active person or couple who enjoys getting out and about
- A secure, safely fenced property
- Someone committed to ongoing training and mental enrichment
- A family who wants a dog who can genuinely be part of their everyday life

No children
No pocket pets or small animals

Another dog? Maybe!

Koda may be suitable to live with a calm, compatible dog, but this would need to be assessed carefully with a successful meet and greet before any decision is made.

Cats? Maybe!

Koda has previously lived around cats, but any future feline friendship would need to be carefully assessed and managed.

KODA'S HEALTH

Koda is desexed, vaccinated and receiving ongoing veterinary care.

He currently takes Fluoxetine to help manage anxiety and support his overall wellbeing. His medication and ongoing needs will be discussed with potential adopters so his new family understands exactly how to support him.

Koda has also had a gastropexy performed as part of his medical history.

Koda isn't looking for just any home — he's looking for his people.

The people who will appreciate his intelligence, give him a purpose, take him on adventures, continue his training and understand that sometimes the best Shepherds are the ones who need someone willing to see the whole dog.
