Peri is a handsome, intelligent boy with the best of both breeds — the loyalty of a Shepherd and the cleverness of a Border Collie. He’s a happy, affectionate dog who bonds deeply with his people and loves being around both humans and other dogs.
Sadly, Peri’s family is facing a forced housing change and will no longer have access to land, so they are heartbroken to be looking for a new home where he can continue to live the life he deserves.
Peri is described by his family as “the happiest dog I’ve known.” He’s loyal, loving, and protective of his home and family. He also enjoys the company of other dogs both large and small, and would likely thrive in a home with a canine companion.

Peri does have hip dysplasia, which currently does not impact his day-to-day life. His family keeps meloxicam on hand for days when he has had lots of exercise or shows signs of discomfort. Because of this, Peri prefers that his back legs are not handled, and he may bark or growl to let you know if he is uncomfortable.
This sweet boy would do best in a home that understands his needs and can provide moderate exercise — he loves to play but is usually happily tired after about 30 minutes of activity.
